Do you long for a natural way to express your deepest spirit when words just won’t do ?
There are times when your heart’s wisdom seems beyond words. When word descriptions keep you “in your head”, you may not have imagined the healing power of a visual creative process from your heart. Maybe you long for a natural, organic way of expressing inner wisdom which flows easily and doesn’t intimidate you.
Has visual expression escaped you ? You may have tried learning a technical method of drawing to imitate reality, but it was a far cry from creating from your heart. It might have felt awkward trying to do what was expected, and it kept you focused on the end product, so it didn’t communicate any of your own spirit. It’s no wonder if you didn’t stick with it very long.
If you think you can’t draw, you may have been humiliated many times in the past. Your first discovery as a baby, that when you made marks it was wrong, was only the start, so you’ve remained limited by old fears, and concluded that you aren’t one of the gifted few. Unable to open the door to your natural creative gifts, you may avoid making images altogether.
If you’d dearly love to stop feeling inept so that fear of not meeting expectations no longer stops you from making visual images, you need a new way of seeing beneath the surface of things. If you could express your unique spirit naturally in drawing, then you could more truly live from your authentic self.
Experienced artists tend to have the hardest time with my work because they’re often already attached to a stategy around making art. Yet, if you are an experienced artist who is feeling bogged down, or is longing to go deeper and is willing to step into beginner’s mind, then my work is also for you.
Until you know the way to your inborn potential, you may be missing out on a rich source of learning about your own unique nature, and sharing it with others. Yearning for a richer connection with yourself and others, you may long to touch a deeper level with the Spirit.
How can you set your true nature free when you are unable to express your inner spirit ?
What if there were a way of image making from your heart with a natural ease, not a method you learn with your mind, but your own unique potential already there ?
By using heart-centred image making as a tool to learn a new way of seeing and being seen, you’d gain increased mindfulness. Though the goal would not be to produce “art”, the resulting works would be interesting, beautiful and full of unique meaning – in fact, your own, real art.
There is a natural artist within you like a sensitive wild horse longing to be joined. If only there were a way to befriend this potential within, and find a way to express your inborn talent naturally !
In my years as a teacher and artist, I know how frustrating it can be, stalled by doubts and fears, intimidated by secondhand wisdom and judgment. It’s no wonder that some give up before they even start. Avoiding embarrassment and blocked from natural expression leaves you wary, like a wild horse that won’t be broken.
But it doesn’t have to stay that way, and you don’t need to be broken.
Why go it alone any longer ?
You can find your wild talent without breaking your spirit or losing your freedom. I am convinced that you have an inborn artist who wants to be freed. It is possible to discover the Creator within, uncover the doorway to the heart of your creativity, and recover your birthright.
If you want to find your own creative voice, recover hidden talents, and deepen on your spiritual path, then you’ve found the right place.

“It’s much easier to work from my heart – both in expressing and interpreting. So, I’m going to find it exciting to look at artwork with my heart rather than my head. . .”

“I had no idea that something like this was inside me. This is such a simple yet powerful way to express myself. Wow.”

Although I’ve considered myself a ‘creative’ person for a long time- it was always with the computer as an intermediary. I love writing, and yet any drawing or painting I did looked childish, and far, far from what I was trying to express. Really frustrating! Especially while I was teaching, and scrawling on the white board.
I signed up for your class open and curious, but not really expecting much. After the first exercise, I was really blown away- not only did I enjoy the process of drawing, but I was shocked by how… good… it was. There were parts of it that made me say, “Who drew that? It surely wasn’t me!” But it was.
You opened up a whole new possibility for me, and despite my skepticism, I’m thinking, “Wow, I can draw.” That’s amazing.
I don’t expect to make it into art galleries overnight, but that’s not my intention. Just gaining the confidence that I can draw, and that I can truly see what I’m trying to draw, means that I can have a bigger impact with folks I’m teaching, because, after all, a picture is better than a thousand words.
Who wouldn’t want to take a class with you?”
